Marriage Miracles' founder and CEO is Paul Christian Sullivan. After passing the Maryland bar in 1977, Paul joined his father in the general practice of law in Cumberland. After Paul's father retired in1979, Paul directed the growth of Sullivan & Sullivan, P.A. to become one of the leading firms in Western Maryland and surrounding states. He was admitted to practice law in DC in 1980, West Virgina in 1998, Florida in 1990 and Pennsylvania in 1990. He started serving as a pro bono mediator in 1987, became certified in Maryland in general mediation and family mediation in the late 1990's. Paul retired from the full-time practice of law in December 1999 at the age of 47. He moved to Fort Myers in 2000, was certified for Florida Circuit Civil and Family Mediation (Mediator#14354FR) and continued to be active as lead counsel in major litigation cases. In September 2003, Paul started applying his legal background and mediation skills with his strong Christian faith and offered faith-based mediation as an alternative means of dispute resolution. From September 2004 to September 2005, Paul served as "Of Counsel" for a major Fort Myers law firm. In 2005. Paul also served as the Allegany County Bar Association's president in Western Maryland. He also started teaching the Oasis Sunday School class for the separated and newly divorced at his church. For many years, Paul has served as either a facilitator or encourager in the Divorce Care program offered at his church. In September 2005, Paul accepted God's calling for him to abandon all secular vocations and dedicate his life full-time to a ministry of peacemaking, which has grown into the formation of Marriage Miracles, restoring and rebuilding everlasting love. |
